Inspired by the "Pu**y Power" phrase coined during the U.S. women's rights and feminism movement during the 1960's, this design connects my Filipino-American heritage and the empowerment I feel performing burlesque. "Pek pek" is the Filipino slang for female genitalia. The design features a hand drawn, digital art illustration of the only wild cat native to the Philippines, the Visayan Leopard Cat.
All proceeds from the "Pek Pek Power" sales will go towards production costs for Bongga Burlesque!: An All-Filipinx Revue presented by Dusk/Dawn Productions and Saffron Soleil.
